I've never been in a situation like that, so I have no idea how I would react, but I hope I would be able to stand up for myself and for someone else who's being verbally attacked like you eventually did. Kudos to you! Personally, I wouldn't even wish for him to burn in hell. I'd rather have him pay for his sins in this life by getting a dose of his own medicine. Would I wish cancer on him? Absolutely not. But I'm not so saintly as to be able to resist wishing that he'll get pulverized by the same people he hates or that he gets to sent to jail where he's made to be somebody's biatch.
